The Riparian Preserve at Water Ranch combines wetland habitat with ponds, trails, viewing areas, and children's play features. Choose a short trail outing and leave time to observe the landscape rather than expecting a particular bird or animal sighting.
The town's preserve page is the starting point for current access information and visitor guidance. Bring water, sun protection, and binoculars if you have them; stay on the appropriate paths and allow wildlife space.
The preserve also includes the Gilbert Rotary Centennial Observatory. Check the operator's current program before making astronomy the main purpose of a visit, since a daytime walk does not imply an observatory session will be available.
