In the Neighborhood

Know before you go · City of Boca Raton

Beach gatehouses are cashless—and current rates deserve a look

The City of Boca Raton’s beach-park gatehouses stopped accepting cash October 1. Its current rate page lists Class 1 daily entry at $40 on weekdays and $55 on weekends and holidays. Class 1 includes cars, motorcycles and minivans carrying up to 11 passengers.

Annual Class 1 permits are $90 for city and Greater Boca Raton Beach and Park District residents. Palm Beach County residents outside those categories have a $108 South Beach-only annual option. A Boca mailing address does not establish city or district residency.

Gatehouses accept debit and credit cards, Apple Pay and Google Pay. These rules concern city beach parks, not every Boca parking facility; check the official page for vehicle classes, access and permit requirements.
